5 Ups And 4 Downs From Last Night's WWE NXT (June 24)

1. Finn Balor Excels On All Fronts

Balor has finally been allowed to share in some of Kevin Owens spotlight, and he making the most of it. He attacked the champ at the top of the show, and overcame Owens' attempts to interfere in his match with Rhyno, pinning the Manbeast after a hard-fought bout. After the match, Owens and Balor tussled yet again, with the Champ and Rhyno double-teaming the Irish superstar before Samoa Joe could make the save. But the story wasn't just confined to the ring. Part 2 in a trilogy of "Who Is Finn Balor" video packages played last night, this week chronicling his time in Japan his friendship with Matt Bloom (aka Jason Albert/Tensai) and, surreally, his obsession with Lego. Again appearing humble, driven and just the nicest guy in the world, Balor's character is being rounded out in front of our eyes and the effects are quite powerful. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KHxJJQxJImQ The dichotomy between the Demon that fans see in the ring and the quite guy who bashfully assembles lego models while watching wrestling, is an endearing one and its hard to imagine any fan that isn't slowly feeling the desire build to see Balor overcome the dastardly Owens in Tokyo on July 4th.
