It was only a line, but it was more than enough to get the rumor mill going.

During his opening promo, John Cena started talking about the much-ballyhooed Road to WrestleMania, and how the event can change lives. He then noted that WrestleMania can “bring legends back from the dead,” before moving on.

That one line was not an accident, and it was not missed by those watching. Though Cena still has a shot at the WWE Universal Championship if he wins the Elimination Chamber match later this month, that spot is all but guaranteed for Roman Reigns in his 87th coronation attempt. So what would Cena do for Mania?

Fans have suggested for a while now that Cena should have tangled with Undertaker last year, but instead Reigns defeated and apparently retired the Deadman. So Cena’s line about bringing legends back from the dead was as clear of an indication at this point that we could be getting that match at Mania this year.

Better late than never, eh?
