3. Battle Royals Lacking Participants

During the course of Raw, the announcers threw up a couple graphics while talking about the two battle royals taking place at WrestleMania for the men and women. Lo and behold, there were less than 15 wrestlers listed between the two matches less than two weeks about the PPV.

Keep in mind that the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal is now in its fifth year, and the Women’s Battle Royal is a first-ever, which means WWE will play it up as a big deal. And while there’s still time to fill both matches up, it’s remarkable to think that with one episode of Raw and two episodes of SmackDown to go, neither match is halfway filled.

That means the bulk of the participants will just turn up in the battle royals at WrestleMania and compete as an afterthought. That sure makes both matches feel prestigious, doesn’t it?
