5 Ups And 5 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (March 26)

2. The Wrong Role

Nia Jaxx Mickie James

Maybe this is just a lone viewpoint, but Nia Jax is miscast as the aggrieved face rebelling against a verbally oppressive heel.

Jax is more than twice as big as her WrestleMania opponent, Raw Women’s Champion Alexa Bliss. She has steamrolled most of her opponents, and yet she was the duped wrestler left sobbing recently who is supposed to be chasing the diminutive champ. It just looks reversed, especially since it’s not like Nia was a gentle giant who finally work up and turned. She was a monster before her awakening.

Plus, she looked even more out of place selling like a face-in-peril against Mickie James Monday night. It just doesn’t seem like it will work. But stranger things have happened.
