5 Ups And 5 Downs From NXT TakeOver: WarGames

1. Rules Were Made To Be Confusing

For a match featuring nominal proxies of Occam's razor, the rules for TakeOver's eponymous main event were anything but simple. Even just reading them was a challenge, such was the mammoth excerpt copy and pasted from the WarGame's manual.

They even seemed to baffle the competitors. Killian Dain might have issues with his own sanity, but he seems capable of following the basic rules of wrestling at the best of times. Here, he entirely missed the point by locking his opponents in the cage - ensuring they couldn't eliminate themselves. Perhaps his intention was to ensnare them in his field of destruction, but that's just logical conjecture.

Likewise Adam Cole. What did he hope to achieve from crawling along the top of the cage? Brief respite? Not only was he selfishly endangering the rest of his team, but leaving himself wide open for the inevitable super-superplex. The silly sausage.

Benjamin was born in 1987, and is still not dead. He variously enjoys classical music, old-school adventure games (they're not dead), and walks on the beach (albeit short - asthma, you know). He's currently trying to compile a comprehensive history of video game music, yet denies accusations that he purposefully targets niche audiences. He's often wrong about these things.
