2. Elias Stays The Course

There was legit concern when Elias came out Monday night that we would find out that WWE had buyer’s remorse about turning the troubadour face, and they’d just ignore it.

But it turned out that that wasn’t the case, with Elias keeping his wrath focused on acting GM Baron Corbin, whom he smashed a guitar across last week. With Corbin laid up, Elias headed to the back, delivering a concert outside his office door until Jinder Mahal attacked him, setting up their match.

That bout wasn’t anything special, aside from Elias working as a face for the first time. It wasn’t a good match – in the sense that Jinder is a heat vacuum – but when he won, Elias got a pretty good reaction. That’s about all you could hope for.
