5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Crown Jewel 2022

2. Main Event Goes Off The Rails

When the SummerSlam main event between Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar devolved into a car crash that saw Brock use a tractor to wreck the ring, that was a true spectacle.

But when Logan Paul’s brother Jake Paul came down to ringside to knock out the Usos with one punch each and have a standoff with Solo Sikoa? Not so much.

It’s really a shame, because the match between Logan and Roman was actually really entertaining, with Paul once again exceeding expectations. However, WWE went for a mess of extraneous stuff that probably was intended to look like a wild, uncontrollable battle, but instead, it was a mess. The situation saw Jake Paul make his WWE debut and knock out the second-longest reigning tag team champions in company history with one punch while Reigns and Logan played dead on the floor for 2-3 minutes.

We really could give positive marks for the match, but this was all within their control, and WWE opted to turn it into a sideshow. One Paul brother is fine, but this was just too much.
