5 Ups And 6 Downs From WWE Extreme Rules 2020

3. Just Keep Fighting

An argument could be made that Kevin Owens is being wasted by being in an unannounced match on the kickoff show of Extreme Rules, and that argument would be correct.

But on a night of crappy finishes and bad cinematic “entertainment,” a clean finish to a short but solid match will get a thumbs-up here. Owens and Murphy had an energetic opener, with the disciple getting to show off a deadlift suplex to the bigger KO.

Owens showed off himself, hitting a double-jump moonsault before closing out the match with a superkick/Stunner combo to finish Murphy.

Overall, this was perfectly fine for what it was, and at least there was logic, with the seconds to the Rey Mysterio/Seth Rollins feud getting their own match.
