5 Ups And 7 Downs From Last Night's WWE Raw (June 4)

3. Bayley To The ‘Rescue’

What is this, 2000 WCW?

Somehow, someone thought it would be a good idea to have Bayley run down during the six-woman tag match and insert herself into the bout as a fill-in for Alexa Bliss, who “tweaked” her hamstring after spending 20 seconds in the ring. Bayley would quickly hit a Bayley-to-Belly for the win.

And then, that win was quickly reversed when Baron Corbin threatened to tattle to Stephanie McMahon. Worse yet, Sasha Banks went from about to make up with Bayley to being disgusted as their win was wiped out.

None of this makes sense. At all. Bayley wasn’t part of the match. You can’t substitute mid-match, period. Maybe if GM Kurt Angle made an announcement it could have worked, but this was just indy-level bad. (And that’s actually insulting independent promotions, but the largest wrestling organization in the world shouldn’t be pulling this kind of crap.)
