2. Just Not Buying It

On paper, a former tag team partner challenging his former friend for a world title – especially when that former partner is a former world champion – could and possibly should be a good feud.

But whatever the case, Dolph Ziggler just isn’t a credible world title challenger. Ziggler came over to Raw and immediately got a title shot against Drew McIntyre, whom Dolph bought to Raw a couple years ago. It had potential, and we gave it a chance to simmer, but after watching a month’s worth of episodes, Ziggler still isn’t credible. He’s never had the upper hand in the feud, and he’s never even looked like a threat to Drew.

That’s not to say that if Ziggler had beaten him down it would be a home run of a title match, but there are times you just can’t shoehorn a challenger into a match and have it work. This is one of those times.

Here’s hoping the match itself is at least decent, and Ziggler’s stipulation – the one possible saving grace of this rivalry – is on-point.
