2. The Brawl Is On

Kudos to Bobby Lashley and Drew McIntyre for working hard in their WWE Championship match Sunday night.

Lashley looked like a legit threat to McIntyre’s title, and Drew continued to appear like a dominant champ who absorbs everything his opponents throw at him. Lashley attacked McIntyre before the bell and then controlled the early part of the match itself, but McIntyre kept fighting back and kicking out of high-impact moves at a 1-count.

The match was a bit sloppy at times, but it also had some nice sequences, with Lashley turning what looked like a Tombstone piledriver into an anklelock, and McIntyre countering a spear with a Kimura.

Unfortunately, the match was marred at the end by an angle, with Lana unceremoniously getting involved and causing a distraction that led to Lashley eating a Glasgow Kiss and Claymore for the loss. It was unfortunate, but the overall match was good, so we’ll give it positive marks here.
