Give WWE credit for trying to mix new guys into top spots on the roster. Several former NXT stars have taken up residence in the upper midcard and main event in the past several months, while some longtime members of the roster have been moved into more supporting roles. John Cena is a great example, being given a tertiary title to defend and feuds that are outside the main event. But one longtime main eventer who seems to be lost is Randy Orton. The Viper has won nearly 60% of his televised matches this year (as opposed to just 28% last year), but hes lost his last three PPV matches and wasnt even on the Elimination Chamber card. On top of that, ask the big question: Whats he doing? What is Ortons purpose, his reason for being around right now? None of this is to say that Orton is in danger of disappearing, nor that he should be vaulted into the title picture, but it feels like he is floating right now until something comes along. Hopefully for all of us, it wont be a Sheamus-Orton feud, considering how little chemistry they seem to have.
