4. Vega’s Stable Continues To Falter

A few weeks back, this column praised the burgeoning stable of Zelina Vega’s charges Andrade, Angel Garza and Austin Theory as a potential force on Raw going forward.

But week after week, the trio continues to lose match after match, with Garza and Theory both getting rolled up by an injured Humberto Carrillo during Monday’s gauntlet match. Throw in the trio losing a six-man tag match last week and Andrade’s United States Championship being saved by Apollo Crews’ mid-match injury and it’s been a bad couple weeks for Vega’s crew.

What’s the deal? Did WWE release too many low-ranking wrestlers last month, so now Zelina’s charges are the de facto jobbers? That’s hardly fair, considering how talented and versatile they’ve been in recent months.

Someone needs to get a handle on this, because it’s frustrating as a fan who wants to see this heel stable succeed.
