There will be more to say about the Raw Women’s Championship Hell in a Cell match in a bit, but we’ve got to take our collective hats off to Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks for the sheer innovation they brought to the 41st WWE HIAC match.

When there have been 40 previous cell matches, it’s tough to come up with new spots that look and feel original while not looking contrived while also looking painful as hell. Banks and Lynch succeeded on every front Sunday night.

The spot that will get replayed a lot was Becky building an elevated seat with kendo sticks and a steel chair, sitting Sasha in the corner and then hitting a running dropkick off the apron to drop The Boss. But there were other cool moments, like Banks hitting meteoras into a ladder, through a chair, and through a table.

Despite being a 22-year-old match, this one felt very fresh and was a super-hot opener for that.
