One of the biggest gripes about Raw lately has been the abysmal state of its tag team division. Nevermind the invisible tag champs Zack Ryder & Curt Hawkins; there’s a dearth of tag teams on the show.

Then suddenly during the 50-man battle royal, we saw the Viking Raiders on WWE TV for the first time in a month. Then we learned that Akam of AOP had returned to action, thus restoring the tag team to active duty. Those are two physically imposing tag teams who could help spark something in the Raw tag division alongside the Usos and Revival.

And they showed up in a battle royal on a meaningless show.

Throw in the realization that Chad Gable is back on SmackDown, where former tag partner Shelton Benjamin still doesn’t have anything to do, and you just have to shake your head a little more.
