5 Ups And Downs For WWE NXT Takeover: Rival

2. NXT Women Put WWE Divas To Shame

Plain and simple, if WWE were to switch its Divas division with the NXT women€™s division, the ladies in developmental would excel and could seriously change fans€™ minds about women€™s wrestling €“ provided of course they were given a few more minutes for matches and Total Divas was canceled. The Fatal Four-Way match for the NXT Women€™s Championship showcased the major differences between the women on Raw and those in NXT. Whereas most Divas (save for Paige, AJ Lee, Natalya and Naomi) struggle to put together a cohesive tag match, Bayley, Becky Lynch, Charlotte and Sasha Banks nearly stole the show with their four-way title match at Rival. Action was fast and furious, with everyone hitting crisp moves effortlessly. The 10-plus minute match flew by. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=APiuE2k388Q In the end, Sasha Banks pulled off the victory and captured the title. However, unlike most WWE four-way matches, Sasha actually pinned the champ, Charlotte, rather than a lesser rival to keep the outgoing champ strong. Instead, NXT chose to put Banks over strongly, and she even won in an unconventional way, stretching Charlotte to near exhaustion, and when she wouldn€™t submit, simply rolled her over and pinned her. Think that would happen on Raw? Unless the storyline evolved from Total Divas, don€™t bet on it.
