3. Meeting In The Middle
Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were consummate performers and did amazing things during their time as main event guys. While they didnt fit the traditional mold of a WWE champion, being the two best workers in the history of the role helped them break through the glass ceiling. Hart was chosen during a time where WWE was in the midst of a steroid scandal and needed an athletic performer, minus the hulking physique. Michaels was elected as the face of the
New Generation and picked up where Hart left off by adding his own flamboyant spin on things, while producing high-quality matches in feature bouts. No one can ever doubt or diminish their contribution to the business as in the mid 90s, you were either Team Hitman or Team HBK. However, they are wrestling stars meaning their popularity doesnt exceed their profession. Roman Reigns isnt a technical wrestling wizard or a high flying sensation, but he could develop in something different that could resonate with fans to a higher degree. Character is just as important, and in some cases, even more important that actual wrestling ability. Standing out as something authentic could make him a lot of money and lead to his becoming a respectable name within the industry.
