5 Ways To Improve The WWE Network
1. More Live WWE House Shows
The Beast in the East event held live from Tokyo, Japan seemed to be a huge hit for the WWE Network, particularly because it involved a defining moment in Finn Bálor’s wrestling career, defeating Kevin Owens for the NXT Championship in the city that made him famous.
The fact that they’re going to air the next house show in Madison Square Garden next month, and NXT Takeover: London live in December, means that WWE are looking at bringing us a lot more live content on the WWE Network from lesser-seen locations.
We saw with the Tokyo show that WWE doesn’t need to invest a tonne of money into airing a house show, and it seemed to pay off very well. They don’t need the biggest camera crew in the world, or to blow a load of money on a huge set, and the commentators don’t even need to be in the same building. It could be a great opportunity to show fans worldwide how different crowds in different countries react to wrestling.
Show people what crowds in Ireland, Germany, Australia, Spain, Italy, China, and India are like. It will exemplify that WWE is an international phenomenon, and increases publicity whenever the company rolls into any given city. They don’t need to film every night of a tour, but a few times a year in places they’ve never filmed in before would add to the innovation that the network offers.
