Was there nothing going on with Apollo Crews before he was called up after WrestleMania? Better question: did Crews finish everything he could do in NXT?

The answer is no.

The hard part about sending people up to the main roster is determining if creative are truly ready for the talent coming in. Apollo Crews was going to be one of the premiere talents coming out of NXT once he was finished, but now he is a glorified jobber who spells his name due to a bad joke.

Dana Brooke is another example of coming up too soon, where she could still be in NXT helping that division prosper. She doesn't really need to feud with Asuka anymore, but could've turned face in order to fight against Peyton Royce and Billie Kay.

NXT isn't just a place where talent can hone their...well...talents, but it's a place where they can find themselves. Crews could've been something more than a generic babyface, and hopefully his time on the main roster will fix that issue before it is too late and his credibility completely gone.
