5 WCW Superstars Who Made It In The WWE
4. Chris Jericho By the time Chris Jericho got to WCW he was already a very gifted wrestler. Canadian-born Jericho met Lance Storm when he was 19 and they began touring Canada and America in pursuit of their dream. Though a talented wrestler, his size was an obstacle he had to overcome. Jericho was used as a cruiserweight in WCW and won the title on six different occasions while showing great wrestling ability in matches with the likes of Dean Malenko, Juventud Guerrera and Alex Wright. He also showed his mic skills many times in WCW, for example whilst feuding with Malenko, who was called 'the man of a 1000 holds.' Jericho named himself 'the man of 1004 holds,' adding the great comedic twist which would become a signature of his. Jericho would also defeat Booker T for the television title before jumping over to WWE. Jericho was one of those clever wrestlers who moved to WWE before WCW was bought out by their rivals, allowing him to be part of the WWE during the Alliance feud. Jericho made one of the most memorable debuts in wrestling history after interrupting The Rock and cutting a promo of a lifetime, only to be made to look the fool by The Rock moments later. Jericho would go on to hold the Intercontinental Championship ten times and beat the who's who of wrestling whilst doing it. The most notable success Jericho has achieved was becoming the first ever Undisputed Champion Of The World in 2001 by beating The Rock and Stone Cold. Jericho has been the creme of the crop of wrestling for many years, for me personally he is one of the best heels in WWE history. His success can only be matched by a few select superstars in the WWE and it is a sure deal he will be in the Hall Of Fame one day. Jericho needed the platform to become great and in the WCW he did not have the reputation to become a world beater because he had to get past the likes of Hogan and Nash. Now in the WWE, Jericho remains a superstar in the stable and makes returns for a few months before going back on tour with his rock band Fozzy.
