5 Wrestlers In Vince McMahon's Doghouse Right Now

2. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman was removed from the Universal Title match at Royal Rumble because, per Dave Meltzer, Vince McMahon felt the weakened aura of the character could not withstand a further loss to Brock Lesnar. Strowman had to be kept strong. Strowman had to be kept strong ahead of WrestleMania and his high-stakes blood feud with...

...those dorks from Saturday Night Live.

Something's off here. WWE cannot be this inept. This isn't a beloved but slender fan favourite the company has cooled down; it's a gigantic, formidable wall of flesh with the deft comedic chops WWE by law requires of its...massive killer monster characters.

Mike Johnson reported in November 2018 that Strowman is his "own worst enemy", and hasn't yet mastered the art of backstage etiquette. He has a tendency to leave early and arrive late, and when he actually finds himself inside of the building, he commits various transgressions. This is consistent with one of the wilder gossip stories of 2017, in which Strowman allegedly said, to Karen Jarrett, "f*ck your son" when she requested an autograph on his behalf. When he learned of her identity, he fell to his knees and begged her not to tell Kurt Angle.

Strowman intersects the office and the fandom better than any other performer, and so it is reasonable to infer that he is holding himself back.
