Wildcard time.

Ever since the Forbidden Door opened, there hasn't really been that much crossover action between IMPACT and All Elite Wrestling. Kenny Omega, Matt Hardy, and Private Party heading to IMPACT, and the Good Brothers heading to AEW has been the extent of the two promotions' working arrangement thus far. More is on the way, surely.

By having Dr. Britt Baker, D.M.D make an unannounced appearance at Slammiversary, you're immediately stating that the Forbidden Door will remain open, regardless of if Omega drops the World Championship to Sami Callihan in the evening's main event.

The lights can go out and Darby Allin could just be in the IMPACT Zone. Sammy Guevara can pop in and actually win the X Division Championship, like he was reportedly supposed to. Christian Cage can waltz in and become World Champion again. All of this is possible; Britt Baker vs. Deonna Purrazzo is, too.

Hell, why not make it spicy and put the AEW Women's World Championship on the line also? Make a bit of history while you're at it.

Excluding female talent from any Forbidden Door involvement - whether it's been intentional or not, ideally the latter - is preventing a plethora of legitimate dream matches from going down. Abadon vs. Rosemary? Tay Conti vs. Kimber Lee? Hikaru Shida vs. Taylor Wilde?

It all begins with Britt Baker going through the Forbidden Door at Slammiversary.
