5 Wrestling Dream Matches That Make Perfect Sense (And 5 That Don't)

4. DO - The Undisputed Era Vs Drew McIntyre

It's just so neat and tidy.

It appears as though - in the shadow of Adam Cole's second failed attempt to reclaim the NXT Championship - the group may be splintering into separate heel and babyface entities in NXT, but what better way for them to arrive on the main roster than by doing exactly what brought the original stable together in the first place?

At NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn in 2017, Adam Cole debuted, revealing an alliance with Kyle O'Reilly and Bobby Fish at the expense of new NXT Champion Drew McIntyre. The three annihilated him in what proved to be the only chance he'd have to celebrate a Championship victory on WWE's biggest stage.

They could land on the main roster in the exact same way tomorrow. If WWE elects to incorporate the black-and-gold brand into the Survivor Series again, it's likely Drew McIntyre will be in a contest against the other Champions, but a Survivor Series elimination clash with a team of babyfaces against the NXT quartet would be a welcome change from an increasingly tired formula.
