5 WWE Casket Matches To Watch Before Daniel Bryan Vs Kane

2. The Undertaker vs The Ortons - No Mercy 2005

Usually a casket match is a final showdown, but this contest was used as a bridge to get Taker and Orton to a Hell in a Cell Match down the line. Having split their WrestleMania and Summerslam matches, (you guess who won which) Bob Orton got involved, and had to pay the price by going Two on One with The Undertaker. The stipulation required The Undertaker to get both Ortons in the casket to win. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y0pL7MMIplo Naturally, Undertaker and Orton took it to each other with Bob chiming in for bits and pieces of offense before he was dispatched to the casket. When it looked like Taker would seal the win by dumping Randy, Bob appeared with a fire extinguisher and sprayed The Undertaker allowing the younger Orton to escape. Randy Orton was able to clobber Taker with a chair shot to the head and seal him in the casket. Subsequently, The Legend Killer Randy Orton wasn€™t done, as he took an ax to the casket creating a large hole, and then doused the box in gasoline before he lit in on fire. After the road crew put out the flames, Undertaker was thought to be gone forever. Apparently, Randy Orton didn€™t watch the 1994 Royal Rumble, as Undertaker showed back up at Survivor Series, and walked through a flaming casket to send the message that this feud wasn€™t over.
