5 WWE NXT Wrestlers Ready For The Main Roster (And 5 Who Should Stay Put)
4. Call Up - Adam Cole
Doubters will cite Adam Cole’s diminutive stature as a reason he wouldn’t make it in the big leagues. The suggestion is a guy of his height would struggle to stand out among Raw and Smackdown’s flashier characters.
To those people, please refer to any one of Adam Cole’s matches over the past three years, and more pertinently the reception he gets every single time he appears. Few stars in WWE en masse are more over, and more consistently popular, than the former Undisputed Era leader, whether that’s on home turf or his handful of appearances on the main roster. Every “boom”, every “Adam Cole, baybay!”, he has the whole crowd behind him.
Good catchphrases are a bit sparse these days - Cole has two excellent ones that everyone loves joining in with, not to mention merch you’d be unashamed to be caught wearing. And that’s not taking into account his matches, which are technically sound but properly flashy, fun, and engaging.
Pushed properly, Cole could be a huge asset to the main roster, great as face or heel, and able to get a superb match out of just about anyone. We’re not saying he’s HBK (re)reborn, but why couldn’t he be?
