The days when Kevin Owens stood smirking next to Chris Jericho and held the Universal Title seem like a lifetime ago. Today, KO is involved in ye olde 'I Quit' storyline, and it's unclear exactly what this means for his future, especially on Raw.

Is another run on SmackDown in Owens' near-future, or is something bigger in the works?

Even the best heels must face the music at some point and turn babyface. KO has managed to resist that throughout his WWE run to date, and yet it's somewhat unavoidable if he wants to soldier on as a vital part of WWE programming. Basically, should Owens remain heel, his options are seriously limited.

Fans adore the guy's work ethic, and he's cheered even when running down audiences for their support. Owens, as much as he'd blatantly like to, cannot keep spurning crowds who have legit fondness for his indy darling-turned-WWE superstar story.

That babyface turn may be his best bet.
