5 WWE Stars Who Are At A Career Crossroads

5. Matt Hardy

Matt Hardy's out-there 'Woken' character (a take on his TNA 'Broken' gimmick) hasn't exactly caught fire in WWE. Aside from a few memorable moments like that barmy 'Ultimate Deletion' match in March, Matt's toothy smiles and cries of 'Delete! Delete! Delete!' have felt watered down in his old stomping ground.

Younger fans who only know Hardy from his WrestleMania 33 return alongside brother Jeff must wonder why he's suddenly losing his mind. Meanwhile, there will always be older fans yearning for the nostalgic 'Team Xtreme' act who don't jive with Matt's Yoda-like delivery or general nuttiness.

Now, he's injured and posting messages of thanks to fans for supporting him over the years, and Matt is very much at a cross roads in his career. At 43 and faced with news his hip lower spine and pelvis are fusing together, Hardy may call time on his 26-year run.

It'd be a sad end, no doubt, but what else is there for Matt to do in WWE?
