5 WWE Stars Who Are At A Career Crossroads

3. Kurt Angle

The biggest question Kurt Angle must answer is this: does he return as Raw's General Manager after some much-needed time off and suffer humiliating browbeating sessions from Steph all over again? Or, does the one-time wrestling machine become more of a part-time attraction?

In 2017, Angle was a great replacement for Mick Foley in the GM role. Constant belittling and ball-cutting (whether solely to shower heat on the Commish and by design or not) from Stephanie McMahon has taken its toll, however. During his last few appearances, Kurt looked out of his depth and like he'd mentally started moving on from the authority gig.

That's good news for anyone who'd rather see him wrestle.

Kurt can't work a full-time schedule in 2018, that'd be madness. One thing he can do though is drift in and out of a part-time workload, much like Triple H, The Undertaker and (latterly) John Cena do. There are box office smash hits aplenty waiting for Angle if WWE sprinkle them carefully throughout the next couple of years.
