5 WWE Tag Team Reunions That Ruled (And 5 That Sucked)
4. The Dudley Boys (2002)
Bubba and D-Von were one of the casualties of the first ever WWE Draft in spring 2002. Although splitting them up was meant to help them reinvigorate their careers (their doubles act was growing stale), it actually did the opposite. D-Von, as 'Reverend D-Von' floundered on Smackdown, while Bubba failed to make waves on Raw and soon took to teaming with either Jeff Hardy or 'brother' Spike.
WWE took stock of the situation and decided the best course of action would be to put them back together again. During the closing stages of the 2002 Survivor Series opener, D-Von made his way to the ring to help the team of Bubba, Jeff and Spike win their 6-man elimination tag team table match, blasting Rico with a 3D through the wood.
Based on the response of the MSG crowd, it was clear that the reunion was the right call. In that one moment, the months they had spent spinning their wheels and trying to find their way disappeared. The Dudleys were back and went on to have some great matches with teams like Chris Jericho & Christian, Rob Van Dam & Kane and Lance Storm & William Regal over the coming weeks and months, before they once again wore out their welcome and were eventually released from the company.
