5 WWE Tag Team Reunions That Ruled (And 5 That Sucked)

3. Edge & Christian (2004)

Unlike the other entries on this list, the 2004/05 reformation of Edge & Christian was not heavily-hyped and wasn't sparked off by some monumental event at a major show. Quite the opposite, in fact. The lifelong best friends began teaming up again somewhat out of the blue and neither man was (kayfabe) very happy about it.

The Canucks spent as much time trading verbal barbs as they did beating down their opponents but the chemistry they displayed during their summer 1999- autumn 2001 run was evidently still intact, even if they did do away with the goofy comedy. These were two serious, accomplished superstars, main-eventers-in-waiting, and their work reflected that.

Their matches against the teams of Shelton Benjamin & Chris Benoit (15.11.04) and Shawn Michaels & Randy Orton (21.2.05) were first-class and had some fans pining for a long-term return to the doubles ranks for E&C. It wasn't to be, as both men had singles business to take care of, but it was good while it lasted, despite the fact that it didn't last nearly long enough.

Their brief time tagging in 2011 was also a lot of fun and probably would have continued, had it not been for The Rated-R Superstar's forced retirement.
