5 WWE Women's Feuds That Ruled (And 5 That Sucked)

1. Trish Stratus Vs. Lita

Trish Stratus versus Lita is probably the defining WWE women's rivalry of the Attitude/Ruthless Aggression eras. The two signed with WWE in early 2000 and began managing/valeting for undercard wrestlers Test and Albert and Essa Rios before Lita moved on from Essa to form Team Extreme with the Hardy Boys.

It was at this point that Trish and Lita began butting heads, including in a lively six-person opener at Fully Loaded that year. They continued fighting one another off and on over the next couple of years and even squared off at WrestleMania X8 (in a triple threat match also featuring Jazz) but their rivalry really hotted up in 2004.

The ladies, who had teamed a lot in 2003, engaged in a proper, full-on fued over the Women's Championship. Stratus dropped the strap to Lita in the main event of the December 4 2004 episode of Raw in what was the first time a Women's Title match had headlined the flagship show.

It was a great, back-and-forth contest full of drama. The ladies would have liked to have done it all again at New Year's Revolution 2005 a month later but, unfortunately, Lita suffered a bad knee injury just minutes into the contest and it was waived off. A planned WrestleMania 21 showdown had to be scrapped, too.

That wouldn't be the last time the two fought one-on-one, though. When Trish decided to call it a day, at least as far as her full-time in-ring career went, in Setpember 2006, there was only one choice for her opponent. Stratus defeated Lita for the Women's Championship in her hometown (with the Sharpshooter, natch).

It was a great final chapter in WWE's best ever women's feud.
