5 WWE Women's Feuds That Ruled (And 5 That Sucked)
3. Laycool Vs. Mickie James
You know how WWE is involved in the whole Be A STAR campaign? That anti-bullying thing they helped promote on their television shows? It's a nice message and everything, but it's pretty hard to take seriously when you take into account stuff like the whole 'Piggy James' episode.
The whole late 2009/early 2010 feud between the team of Michelle McCool & Layla and Mickie James was based around the fact that James was 'out-of-shape'. At least according to WWE brass, anyway, who instructed Laycool to poke fun at 'Piggy's' figure on a weekly basis.
That was the basis of their entire feud, which is a crying shame since these were very talented women and could have done something memorable - for the right reasons- if given some better material to work with. Their first match at TLC in December 2009 was decent but Mickie lost and had to endure a few more weeks of torment from the bully girls.
It all came to a head at the 2010 Royal Rumble, where Mickie bested McCool in 20 whole seconds to raise the Women's Title. Layla, who was also taken out by a legitimately peeved James, wore a fat suit for the occasion.
