5 WWE Wrestlers Who SHOULD Have Dethroned Roman Reigns (And 5 Who Still Could)

Could Still Win...

Honorable mentions

Gunther Intercontinental Champion

When you get into speculation, there are plenty of people who could defeat Roman Reigns for the title. Some are more likely than others. Some make a good deal of sense when you think about them logically, but logic has been tossed out the window a few times during this title run.

So, let’s dispatch with some of the options ones right off the bat and call them honorable mentions. Bobby Lashley is an obvious one: a steady hand, a former world champion, a dominant wrestler, and interestingly, someone who hasn’t lost a title match to Reigns yet.

Jey Uso’s name gets mentioned a lot, but he’s lost to Roman multiple times, and it just doesn’t seem likely that they’d elevate him at this point to be the guy to finally stop the Tribal Chief. He’ll get his revenge, but not like this.

Montez Ford would be a fantastic candidate, but he still hasn’t broken through as a singles star yet, so knocking off Reigns is a pipe dream. But every month that goes by, it gets more likely than it is now.

And last on our honorable mentions is Gunther, if only because of the heel/heel dynamic. If you turned the Ring General babyface somehow, he could vault to the top of the list. Until then though, he just misses the cut.
