Birthplace: Bloomington, Indiana You're reading that right. Mick Foley, the man who goes hand-in-hand with discussions about New York, as a whole, but more specifically, Long Island, was born over 800 miles away. Bloomington is a college town, home to Indiana University, but not really known for much else, outside of also being the birthplace of David Lee Roth, as well as Bobby Helms of "Jingle Bell Rock" fame. If you recall back to the Hulk Hogan/Georgia entry, apply some of that here. Think of all the stories you've heard about Mick Foley growing up in Long Island, and his lengthy history here. Now, change all those mentions of Long Island and replace them with Bloomington. Really changes the story, doesn't it? Especially the part about Mick hitchhiking to Madison Square Garden for that infamous Cage Match between Jimmy Snuka and Don Muraco. That would be quite the trip.
