Birthplace: Chicago, Illinois Old school wrestling fans might think of The Road Warriors/Legion Of Doom here, but Animal was born in Philadelphia. Even still, the Road Warriors never really became quite as synonymous with Chicago as CM Punk was, and still is. For years, when a WWE show was coming up in Chicago, fans would begin to speculate on just how Punk would be involved, because the crowd pop he was set to receive would be massive. After he left the company, upcoming shows in Chicago would be viewed with extra attention, at first because fans speculated it would be a good time for him to return, and then, as it became clear he was gone for good, because you just knew the Chi-Town fans were going to do a "takeover" on the show. Punk is definitely Chicago born and raised. The people of the city view him as one of their own, and they will support him vociferously in whatever he does.
