Birthplace: Princeton, Minnesota Minnesota is another deceptive state, as there is a very rich lineage of wrestlers to call the state their home, but most of them were either in kayfabe or simply moved there later in life. Bob Backlund, on the other hand, was born in the very tiny town (population of a little over 2,000 people at the time of his birth, and just over 4,500 people today) of Princeton, Minnesota. He would grow up and go to school in nearby cities and states, but has always considered Minnesota one of his "homes", even as he would go on to become one of the greatest technical wrestlers to ever live.
