If you've ever watched the 1987 Survivor Series and thought, 'Hey! Hulk Hogan looks knackered!', there's a reason for that. Earlier in the day, Hogan had clocked newcomer The Ultimate Warrior stack up plate after plate at the Thanksgiving buffet. He told those nearby, 'Well if that big b*stard can do it, so can I'. Gorging, Hulk scoffed a lot of food, and that's when he found out something horrifying.

Warrior told Hogan he wasn't actually working on the show. Therefore, Hulk rolled into the pay-per-view's main event bloated and regretting the sheer amount of grub he'd consumed. Those yellow trunks almost turned brown. It wasn't out of the question that the WWF's poster boy could've had an embarrassing accident to put the first Survivor Series in the history books for the wrong reasons.

Hogan was visibly sweating mere minutes into the match against Andre The Giant's squad. Worse, he went in knowing he had to work at least 18 minutes before being counted out of the bout. That had to be the longest 18 minutes of Hulk's career up until that point, although the 20 he presumably would've worked with Zeus at 'Mania VI would've beaten it years later.

So, there you have it. Hulkamania was stuffed full of turkey in late-1987, and he was in no fit state to wrestle a full-length match. Warrior likely sat back comfortably, let his food digest, then went back for another plate whilst impossibly still having rock hard abs.

Not everyone's metabolism works the same, folks. Hulk found that out firsthand.
