Capping off a monumental Raw that scanned as something of a necessity after a disappointing WrestleMania, Bron Breakker's linking up with new top heel act Seth Rollins and Paul Heyman occupied the sweet spot between cool surprise and carefully plotted twist.

Breakker had been loosely aligned with Heyman during the latter's prior jaunts to NXT, with murmurings that he was destined to be a future "Paul Heyman Guy" when the main roster call-up came. Having worked as a babyface-leaning tweener for the bulk of his stint though, the timing never really felt right until all of his other affairs were in order. Having lost the Intercontinental Championship in a Fatal 4-Way over the weekend, the path was clear and Breakker was able to sprint 23 miles an hour right down it to take out both Roman Reigns and CM Punk.

Neither top babyface could have seen his attack coming, so they weren't made to look stupid or naive in the aftermath. Meanwhile, unloading Bron as his secret weapon massively enhanced Rollins' capacity as the new heel mastermind of Monday Night Raw. The Vision weren't yet named as such (and it took far too long to land on the label), but for the WrestleMania-to-SummerSlam stretch, WWE had at least laid out a fairly clear one.
