10 Things WWE Wants You To Forget About WrestleMania 41

If the story finished at 'Mania XL, this was the sequel nobody asked for...

WrestleMania 41 was a mixed bag of brilliance and baffling decisions.

On one hand, you had Seth Rollins Vs. Roman Reigns Vs. CM Punk, a Triple Threat that delivered the kind of chaos, drama, and storytelling that 'Mania dreams are made of. You had Joe Hendry making his WWE debut to a thunderous pop, complete with a surprise entrance and a crowd that absolutely did say his name. There were moments of magic, moments of madness, and moments that reminded you why WrestleMania is still the biggest show in town.

But there was the rest of it too, because for every five-star match or unexpected return, there was a head-scratching booking call, a segment that fell flatter than a Baron Corbin face turn, or a main event that somehow managed to be both overbooked and underwhelming.

WWE will plaster the highlight reel across every social media feed imaginable, but there are plenty of things they’d rather you quietly forget ever happened.

Naturally, we’re here to remind you of the bad...

10. Bayley Being Bumped

Bayley was all set for a solid spot at WrestleMania 41, teaming with Lyra Valkyria to challenge Liv Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. It was a logical continuation of her ongoing story with Valkyria, and a well-earned place on the card for one of WWE’s most consistent workhorses.

Then, just hours before the match? Boom. Backstage attack. “Injury.” Pulled from the show.

WWE’s explanation was a storyline shoulder injury, but let’s not kid ourselves: this wasn’t a last-minute twist. Reports quickly revealed the decision had been made weeks in advance to clear the runway for the surprise return of Becky Lynch, who stepped in as Valkyria’s partner and walked out with the gold. Cue the pyro, cue the headlines, cue the erasure of Bayley’s involvement entirely.

Bayley later admitted in interviews that she was disappointed and felt blindsided by the decision. And honestly? Fair enough. Backstage sentiment reportedly echoed that frustration, with many seeing it as a slap in the face to someone who’d been holding the division together for years.

Speaking of that interesting match...
