50 Greatest WWE Raw Moments Ever
17. Seth Buys In (June 2nd, 2014)
Proving to be the decisive crack in The Shield as they appeared on the surface to be their most dominant yet, 'The Architect' demolished his own creation in heartbreaking style following their destruction of Triple H's Evolution reboot one night earlier.
'The Hounds Of Justice' had spent a year in 'The Game's pocket before definitively breaking away after WrestleMania 30, but Seth's sudden betrayal cut deeper due to their relative freshness as bonafide babyface headliners.
Many posited that it was too soon to sever ties within the group whilst still riding a new wave at the top of the card, but an enormously heated 2017 rekindling (as documented elsewhere on this list) highlighted how it was better to burn out that their brightest than fade away later like so many of their contemporaries.
The time they've spent separate from one another throughout the 2020s has only proven how beneficial it was for WWE to pull the trigger when they did. Now all established singles megastars across both major American mainstreams, one last go-around seems increasingly unlikely, marking this epic scene as the most memorable possible finale outside of the novel reunions and cameos.
