Pros:

1. Good worker

2. Unique finisher

3. Above average on the microphone

Cons:

1. Perpetual midcarder

2. Saddled with one lame gimmick after another

3. It took a run in TNA for him to be taken more seriously as a draw

There are some people who just have bad luck in WWE, and Christian is one of those people. After all, if Vince disliked someone’s face so much that he covered their picture with a blue bot, what do you think that would say about their in-ring career?

Truth be told, there was nothing inherently wrong with Christian at all. He was a good wrestler, he sounded natural on the microphone, and he had good matches. So why wasn’t he pushed more like his former partner Edge? Mainly because of looks.

Whereas Edge actually had the look of a big star, Christian’s look didn’t scream anything other than ‘midcarder’. He was shorter than his best friend, light as a feather (180 pounds soaking wet, according to Hardcore Holly), and he had that face that Vince didn’t like. How else do you expect to get anywhere if the company’s top brass have those preconceptions about you?

Maybe that’s why he went to TNA in 2005: over there, smaller wrestlers were less stigmatized, which allowed him to be more successful.
