39. Melina

Pros:

1. Great on the microphone

2. More than capable in-ring worker

3. Had one of the most unique entrances in WWE

Cons:

1. The literal definition of a 'Diva' (in a bad way)

2. Had 'nuclear' backstage heat

3. Not especially believable as a face character

From the moment she first walked down to the ring, you could tell that Melina looked comfortable in a wrestling ring. Whether she was managing Mercury and Nitro, or wrestling on her own, Melina had what it takes to be successful in WWE. She stood out like a sore thumb (in the most positive way possible).

Maybe it was her split-legged entrance, or maybe it was her arsenal of offensive wrestling moves. Whatever it was, it made people focus on Melina, which naturally transformed into considerable in-ring success: three reigns as WWE Women's Champion and two as Divas Champion speaks volumes of her skills.

Sadly, most people remember Melina more for her attitude than for her skills. She was notoriously hated by virtually everyone backstage, and several WWE alumni have attested to her 'diva' attitude. She was hated by the men for controlling John Morrison and for alleged promiscuity, and she kept starting legitimate feuds with the other women.

While that stuff wasn't revealed until after her WWE career, she was an excellent wrestler when she was active with the company.

Final Rating: ***1/4
