41. Rick Steiner Threatens Chucky
Some attending the 12 October 1998 Nitro likely had to check their calendars to make sure Halloween hadn't come early when Chucky popped up on screen to riff with Rick Steiner. This was all promotion for the upcoming Bride Of Chucky movie, but it was also unintentionally hilarious.
The doll and Steiner hurled insults at one another as 'Mean' Gene Okerlund acted like they'd be throwing hands on the next supercard. Seeing Rick threaten to beat some respect into a fictional character was only slightly worse than seeing him wrestle Van Hammer on PPV the following year.
What an odd piece of cross-promotion.
