We saw Damien Sandow dress as Abraham Lincoln. It wasnt funny. We saw him dress as basketball players multiple times. Not good either. It went on week after week. Hed show up, be a new character and then quickly job. Here was an incredibly talented wrestler, one who received a big push out of the gate now suffering for no apparent reason. It wasnt long before he started playing dress up that he was the Money in the Bank holder. He was given up on quickly, and many feared for his release from the company. Through complete dumb luck he was cast as Damien Mizdow for a night and it somehow stuck. Its highly doubtful that WWE creative had some master plan where it would eventually all work out. Mizdow has been one of the highlights of the year, but it was a long, painful process to get to that point.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
