The Rocks return to WWE in 2011, after being gone for years, was one of the greatest wrestling moments of the past decade. Batistas return was...well, it was something. On the January 20 Raw, The Animal came back to WWE for the first time since 2010. Maybe he should have stayed away a little longer. For starters, someone in the company had the bright idea that the first thing Batista should do on-air is hug HHH and Stephanie McMahon. I understand theres a history there, but they were the two top heels in the company! Thats not how you push a babyface! It immediately cooled a bit of the crowd reaction. And what else can be said about his skinny jeans that hasnt already been said? Batista did bring the ratings up that first night back, but its too bad that he stumbled badly out of the gate and never recovered.
As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at."
Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week.
