50 Worst WWE & TNA Moments Of 2014

17. JBL And Cole Must Go

Is there anything more annoying in all of wrestling than JBL yelling €œOh wah wah wah€ on a nearly weekly basis? Michael Cole has always been a pretty decent announcer for years, and JBL used to be a pretty good color commentator. However the two together have become incredibly annoying to listen to over the past year. Part of it just due to sheer overexposure. No one on the planet needs to hear these guys for five hours every single week. It should be a crime. JBL has become the worst color commentator in years. He brings nothing to the conversation, and has a knee-jerk reaction to disagreeing with every single thing that Jerry Lawler or Cole say. He€™s no Jesse Ventura or Jerry Lawler of old, he€™s just some big kid who constantly yells and argues just because he can€™t be bothered to think of something clever to say. This year Cole and JBL really started to joke around to ridiculous levels during Raw and SmackDown. They failed at making us get angry at heels, and cheer for babyfaces, which is their main job. Instead, they were too busy telling bad jokes and trying to get Vince McMahon to laugh, or would simply resort to bullying Tom Phillips on SmackDown. At the very least, take these guys off of SmackDown. Our ears need a break.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
