50 Worst WWE & TNA Moments Of 2014

48. The Vaudevillians

The crowd at Full Sail University seems to adore The Vaudevillains. And why not? They€™re quirky, kind of funny, and €œadorable€ as Renee Young has called them. Well, they€™re also a pretty bad gimmick destined to have no chance of connecting with the crowds on Raw and SmackDown. Maybe I€™m just old and out of touch and don€™t get their gimmick, or maybe I€™m not old enough to appreciate their take on vaudeville from the 1920s. Aiden English was a guy with a really bad show tunes singer act that quickly ran its course. Instead of repackaging him as something relevant (with a Bunny and a Ballroom dancer on the main roster did we really need a singer guy?) he was paired with a circus strongman, the type of which you€™d see 100 years ago. Except for this strongman isn€™t really that big or strong. He€™s also not that good of a wrestler, as he rarely gets to tag in during their matches! Time to cancel this act.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
