50 Worst WWE & TNA Moments Of 2014

47. Backseat Kane

Sometimes the writers in WWE seem to get bored with their day jobs and wish they were doing something else with their lives. That€™s why we see a lot of bad comedy nearly every week on Raw and SmackDown. It€™s also why they occasionally veer us into a bad horror movie. When Daniel Bryan won the WWE Title, he was pretty much doomed from the start when it was announced his first opponent was Kane. No offense to Kane himself, but he hasn€™t been booked as an actual threat in years. Still, WWE tried to make us believe he was still scary...and had some sort of powers like Jason Voorhees or Michael Myers. On the May 5 episode of Raw, Bryan and Brie were given the night off by Stephanie since they were so afraid of what Kane would do to them. They got in their car (which of course wouldn€™t start), when a curious thing happened. A camera viewed them from behind, which can only mean that it was either Kane filming them, and then giving the feed to the production truck, or it was WWE trying way too hard to be more like a horror film and less like a wrestling promotion. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DstiODaUB1Y The only thing scary about the segment is that someone was actually paid to write it.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
