46. Flair Endorses The Shield

When Evolution reformed to battle The Shield, one of the big questions was whether Ric Flair would be joining his old stable mates. It just wasn€™t the same without him. On the April 28 edition of Raw, The Nature Boy came to Raw to join his old buddies, or so it seemed. It used to be that watching Flair was a treat. No one had his confidence and promo ability. Now it's usually awkward. And his exchange with Evolution and The Shield was quite awkward. He told Batista he missed seeing him out on Saturday night, and that HHH usually stayed home to eat a steak. Oh. Okay? He said that one of these groups exemplify power, style, and grace. But he was talking about The Shield. What a swerve! What did he mean by style? Does he really like flak jackets that much? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Be1ce_f_OCk Well, Flair had also forgotten that months earlier The Shield had beaten him and he had to be saved by Ryback. In the end, nothing came of it. It seemed Flair's endorsement was only going to set up the swerve of helping out Evolution at Extreme Rules. Nope.

As Rust Cohle from True Detective said "Life's barely long enough to get good at one thing. So be careful what you're good at." Sadly, I can't solve a murder like Rust...or change a tire, or even tie a tie. But I do know all the lyrics to Hulk Hogan's "Real American" theme song and can easily name every Natural Born Thriller from the dying days of WCW. I was once ranked 21st in the United States in Tetris...on the Playstation 3 version...for about a week. Follow along @AndrewSoucek and check out my podcast at wrestlingwithfriends.com
