They are the sole reason that the six-sided ring made its return anyway. TNAs own website held a poll to gauge fan interest in the six-sided ring and determine which competitive structure the company would use moving forward. Fans -- unsurprisingly -- voiced their support for the return of six sides in a near-unanimous vote. This is something many TNA fans had been waiting years for, ever since the rings departure in 2010 at the hands of Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. It was undoubtedly a wise decision for TNA management to bring the hexagonal ring back. Theres an old adage in the entertainment business of give the people what they want. Well, the fans of TNA Wrestling have wanted the six-sided ring to return for some time, and now, they got it. TNA obviously hoped, as previously argued, that the rings return would also see the return of disillusioned fans who had given up on the product. However, while listening to their fan base was a smart choice, it may not have been the best choice for business. The ring is great, but its just a ring. Frankly, such an untraditional element could alienate casual fans who may be confused by the rings extra sides.
